Carlos Florez and Vanessa Peltier met in graduate school at UCLA in 2000 and both graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture in 2003. Carlos founded Solrac Design in 2007 after a few years as head designer for Mark Mack Architects in Venice Beach CA. Remaining good friends and enjoying traveling together, Carlos and Vanessa decided to partner their talents by creating Solrac Architects in 2020.

Vanessa’s expertise in construction documentation and administration has flourished with her extended project history in educational and institutional projects all over Southern California for the past 18 years. Vanessa also has worked on many sustainable projects and is a certified LEED Accredited Professional.

Carlos is meticulous in his attention to detail and is an accomplished designer from the micro to the macro scales. He has focused on building a wide range of projects from high-end residential to boutique commercial projects all over Southern California and international locations. Carlos values and respects the collaborative efforts of all parties to create and deliver the highest quality of work.
